The launch of the largest European telecom satellite will take place this summer. Alphasat will provide high data rate services for aeronautical, land and maritime users across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East with its new generation advanced geomobile communications payload.
The partnership provides ESA with an opportunity to validate the new Alphabus platform, as well as hosting four Technology Demonstration Payloads. The partnerships and projects necessary to develop and provide flight heritage for the Alphabus platform and Alphasat’s technology payloads have been supported under ESA’s ARTES 8.
