The main aims of the information event are:
- to raise awareness about on-going activities within ESA’s Iris Programme
- present the ANTARES and THAUMAS system design activities, as well as the studies of operation (HERMES, OPERA and SIRIO)
- stimulate the sharing of knowledge among Iris projects and with representatives of the aviation community working on these issues
- to encourage individuals and companies involved in ESA’s Iris projects to meet with each other and discuss new opportunities of cooperation among participants in view of preparing Iris Phase 2.2.
